Jenny’s relationship with property started early. Growing up around her father’s building projects, she was immersed in small developments and hands-on construction from a young age. That grounding gave her a practical understanding of how buildings come together — not just on paper, but in real life.
Later, Jenny went on to build her own home, before continuing to refurbish numerous residential properties. Alongside this, she developed a strong corporate career in finance, specialising in sectors that make a tangible social impact, including charities, schools, and the Building Research Establishment. This blend of financial discipline and purpose-driven work has shaped the way she approaches property ever since.
Like Darren, Jenny eventually moved into semi-retirement, but property remained a shared passion. Together, they built a buy-to-let portfolio designed to serve families and professionals, while also being mindful of those more vulnerable individuals who often struggle to find safe, suitable housing.
More recently, Darren and Jenny’s work has naturally diverged into two distinct areas, each approached with care and sensitivity.
Their commercial property projects are focused on appropriate locations within town centres and existing commercial zones, supporting local businesses and helping to breathe life back into high streets — always with community benefit front of mind.
Alongside this sits their most personal focus: land sourcing.
Working directly with landowners, Eldondale approaches land with deep respect — understanding that land is often tied to family history, memories, and future security. This is not about forcing unsuitable development or disrupting established homes and neighbourhoods. Instead, it’s about listening first, protecting what matters, and exploring opportunities that feel right for the land, the owner, and the wider community.
Whether that means sensitive residential use, carefully considered schemes, or simply helping landowners understand the true potential of what they already have, Eldondale is committed to doing things properly, discreetly, and humanely.
For landowners, this means working with people who care as much about your land as you do — and who will treat it, and you, with honesty, patience, and respect.
For Jenny, property isn’t just about buildings — it’s about people, place, and long-term care for the communities that surround them.
We approach land and property with care, ensuring every decision honours the people, history, and community connected to it.
We listen first, understand each landowner’s priorities, and work collaboratively to create outcomes that feel fair, clear, and meaningful.
We consider long-term value, community impact, and sensitive planning, ensuring every project is guided by insight, balance, and responsibility.
