Darren, whose early adult life was shaped by a deep sense of responsibility to people and communities. In his early twenties, Darren spent several years in Colombia, helping to build orphanages for children who were living on the streets during a time when death squads were tragically targeting vulnerable young people. It was challenging, emotional work — but it cemented a lifelong belief that land, buildings, and development should always serve people first.
Darren transitioned into the corporate world, becoming an Operations Manager within a large blue-chip organisation. There, he built a strong reputation for leadership, structure, and delivery at scale.
Following semi-retirement, his focus naturally shifted toward property development and land sourcing, bringing together his commercial experience with his long-held values.
Jenny’s relationship with property started early. Growing up around her father’s building projects, she was immersed in small developments and hands-on construction from a young age. That grounding gave her a practical understanding of how buildings come together — not just on paper, but in real life.
Later, Jenny went on to build her own home, before continuing to refurbish numerous residential properties. Alongside this, she developed a strong corporate career in finance, specialising in sectors that make a tangible social impact, including charities, schools, and the Building Research Establishment. This blend of financial discipline and purpose-driven work has shaped the way she approaches property ever since.
Like Darren, Jenny eventually moved into semi-retirement, but property remained a shared passion.
